Client: Heidi Stevens – Fine Art Photography
You have been engaged by Heidi Stevens, a new age entrepreneur and owner of a wholly owned Australian organisation to provide international marketing advice about overseas expansion. Her company is considering entering a foreign market. You are not quite sure of which market seems right at this stage and how to go about this task but have heard that there are certain industry networks business advisory bodies, government departments and government agencies that may be able to assist.
At this stage, the target markets being considered are Russia or France – please choose one of these markets.
There are 2 tasks to complete:
First, compile a comprehensive road map of resources and support available for the company in obtaining market-specific assistance, assisting with initial market research, providing location advice and helping with additional funding for a potential foreign market entry. Second, prepare a brief mock-up application for government funding. For example applying for an export market development grant from the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) or Queensland Government.

Your are an International Business student and have been assigned an internship with Trade Queensland a Department of the Queensland Government. Your task is to advise on an appropriate IMC (integrated marketing communication) strategy for the market of either Hong Kong or France.
As an Account Manager for Saatchi Advertising you have been given the task to prepare a marketing communication plan advising on the appropriate mix of an IMC strategy. As part of your report you need to justify the choice of certain communication channels, their target market reach, cost effectiveness and how you intend to trade and measure their success.
