A serial killer is defined as a person who kills several people one after the other, seemingly in a random fashion. However, all of the killer’s victims share a common trait – usually they have activated some psychological trigger in the killer’s mind, or they have similar physical appearances. (Buzzle.com) Many serial killers are found to have come from a dysfunctional family. Often they may suffer from complex emotions such as feeling as though not enough or worthless. Some of them kill suddenly due to power or sexual urges. Most of these serial killers have a rich imaginary life where they are greater and powerful, women are attracted to them, and they are successful people. (Buzzle.com)
Many people have experienced this disorder. This disorder is very sad because believe it or not, being a serial killer not only hurts their self but the relatives and friends of the one they killed. There are many known serial killers. A really famous one is Theodore Robert Bundy. His name is frequently the first to pop into someone’s mind when “serial killer” is mentioned. He aHHe admitted to killing forty young women in almost a dozen states during his four-year control of terror. He was so mainstream that the Washington State Republican Party hired him, so cunning that he escaped from jail twice, so dashing a figure that women sent marriage proposals to him on death row. (CrimeMagazine.com) What caused Ted Bundy to snap and murder countless young women and girls as young as twelve years old for no reason? Many of his early victims bore a physical resemblance to Bundy’s first girlfriend, who was tall and slender and wore her long brown hair with a part in the middle. Whenever he decided whom to kill, he pretended to have a broken arm or leg. He would come off as a nice, innocent, good-looking man so women would be attracted to him. When he killed his victims, he used an object every time. This man was arrested, but always pleads innocent to try to persuade people it wasn’t him.

Another interesting serial killer is Jack the Ripper. Responsible for the murders of prostitutes from the Whitechapel Area of London in 1888, Jack the Ripper’s identity is yet unknown. His victims were prostitutes and they were brutally murdered and some of their internal organs were surgically removed by the killer. The Ripper was never caught and it is the mysteries surrounding this killer that both add to the romance of the story and creating a logical puzzle that people still want to solve. Edward Gein. Another infamous serial killer. If a person has ever seen the characters Norman Bates in Psycho, Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs, those actors were based upon Gein’s actions and behavior. They are very horrific. Skulls were put up on his bedposts, severed skullcaps were used as bowls to eat out of. He fashioned hanging mobiles out of noses, lips, and labia, sporting a belt of nipples around the house. Human skin was variously used for lamp shades, the construction of trash cans, and the upholstery of chairs. He wore different skin parts for different occasions: human’s scalp and face, I “vest” complete with breasts and a female genitalia strapped above his own to wear when he danced underneath the moon. Gein had always wanted to become a female. From childhood, Gein had been uncertain about his manliness considering amputation of his own penis on several occasions. Every now and again the world is shocked by some very brutal killings. The killings may be due to serial killers or due to mass murders. Serial killers murder one at a time and go to great lengths to avoid detection and worry. The US is believed to have the highest number of serial killers. Treatment for serial killers is rare, but the least a person could do to get help is to go to a mental hospital. As you can see, there are just a few serial killers with major problems in their lives. Any problem can have causes whether in one or more of the three dimensions: the physical, the psychological and the spiritual. Spiritual research has shown that the main root causes for a person to commit serial killing lies in the spiritual realm.
