There was a typical assignment during my school years – write an essay after reading a book or spending a summer break in a country side. And I remember I loved it and I was quite good at it! Let see how I will cope with it twenty years after. I will add some personal facts to it, so you can get to known me better.
When I was in high school I wanted to work in a criminal justice field and got enrolled to shooting class because I heard I would need it for my future job. During my last two years in school I changed my mind several times to journalism, law and economics. By the graduation I realized that there were not too many choices in my home town, just two to be correct – to continue my education in either pedagogical or technical university. My parents were busy working full time providing for the family and we never discussed seriously the possibility of me going to another city because it would create many financial and organizational problems. Being only daughter and living with my parents all my life I did not insist. So, since I never wanted to be a teacher I picked a technical field of study. My father was an Electronic Engineer and I, having no clear plans and directions, thought it was not bad idea to become an engineer. I read an advertisement about civil engineering and it sounded good to me.
Each term I started by learning new science or technology subjects and found that economics and management classes are the most interesting and exciting. I more enjoyed course work and projects for fundamentals of business rather than for technology of concrete fillers and heat transfer. When it came to the first field training, which lasted two months, I was disappointed with my future job – watch for the right percentage of concrete ingredients such as cement, gravel and water, do tests for resistance of concrete blocks – that seemed very uninteresting. “ Oh well, we cannot always do what we want to do”- I thought and continued hitting large books for technology of reinforced concrete structures.
The Term Paper on Science Education in Primary School Years
Introduction The importance of science in the education of schoolchildren goes beyond just providing the first steps in producing the next generation of scientist. Since science is becoming a large part of political debates – such as in global warming, nutrition and energy (DeBoer, 2000) – at least a basic understanding of how science works and what conclusions it can draw needs to be ...
Upon my graduation, I had a job offer at a local concrete plant as a technologist. But another opportunity came around and I started my career in electric utility company as an executive assistant instead. This position gave me the opportunity to interact with businessmen from all over the country, thereby expanding my professional perspective. Because of my outstanding work performance, I was chosen to attend various meetings with local and international governmental bodies. My first job provided me with an excellent introduction to the business world. I developed my interpersonal skills, responsibility and proficiency. It was logical step for me to accept an offer to join my company as the deputy director of department of industrial customers and take charge of sixteen inspectors and manage hundred and sixty industrial enterprises. One of my responsibilities was to interact closely with the financial department and prepared payments reports, as well as do payroll for my department. I understood the importance of financial education. I developed excellent analytical skills and improved my problem-solving ability. I led several projects at the same time prioritize by the date they should be done.

I had no family here, no friends and everything I did was dictated by my own decision. I did mistakes of course (who didn’t?) but there were wins too. My first job was at Best Western Hotel as a Room Attendant. It was different from I used to do, but I was very glad to make my first American dollars and felt proud of myself to send fifty dollars every month to my retired parents. I liked my job; it was relevant to my nature to clean rooms with my characteristic neatness, besides I liked my mirror twin in purple uniform with white starched collar. I lived in a small town in Eastern Oregon and went to a small college I had ever seen and had a dream about big career in a big American city. But it seemed to me very far away from what I was and where I was. My “big career” occurred to start at Portland international Airport as a cashier. If you fly on a plane quite often you know how busy the airport can be. It has traffic capacity about two millions people a year. Thus I had the greatest opportunity to meet people all over the world, heard many languages and get known about different cultures. The fact of waking up at 3-30 did not scary me at all. When I drove on early freezing morning I knew I would have fun at work. In just two months I was promoted to the Cash Office supervisor and took responsibility of all money operations, payments and bank deposits. I had never seen and carried so much money in cash in my life.

When you come to a black stripe raise your collar, shut your eyes, and run as fast as you can go to get to a white one. But remember, there is always white stripe after a black one.” I want to make my white stripes brighter and wider and eliminate my black stripes as much as possible
