During my time at EMS School I was chosen on numerous occasions to be a Form Representative and latterly chosen to be a prefect during my last academic year at the school. In addition to this, I was handpicked from 150+ applicants to be one of 20 students to visit English Martyrs’ partnership school in Darsilami, Gambia. This visit was in conjunction with the Jole Rider Charity that provides bikes and materials to the school. My tasks were to help build walls, irrigation projects and also teaching the local children English and maths.
In order to help fund the trip I undertook several vigorous fundraising activities such as sponsored walks, sponsored bike rides and sponsored swims. The funds raised contributed towards the overall fundraising that helped the trip go ahead and allowed me to gain valuable knowledge, experience and life skills. Skills: * Team Work I work well in a team environment and in group situations; I also excel at individual tasks where my creativity and personality are at their most prominent. * Good Communicator and Organiser
