Why eXistenZ was not a Hollywood production
Hollywood has produced thousands of movies watched my millions of people every day. Some common titles are Terminator, Rambo, King Kong, Shindler’s List, Matrix, and ECT… These titles are known through out the world for two reasons; one is because Hollywood spends millions of dollars advertising them, and two, because the movies are aimed at targeting your average everyday person. Of course there are other movies that are produced, some by Hollywood, some by private companies, but they don’t seem to be such big hits as the ones mentioned above. Take for example Pulp Fiction, in my opinion this movie was one of the best ever made, what about Heat and Casino, they are also some of my favorites. These movies are not as well known but might be just as good if not better. The reason for this again is the audience it will attract, and according to the audience a movie will attract, you can predict how much a movie will make. Hollywood movies are very expensive to make and therefore need to attract a large audience to make money on the film. Terminator, and Shindler’s List attract people of all ages to come and see the film wither it be historical or an action packed flick. Not only does Hollywood want to make money but it also wants to leave a mark in the world market of movies that it is the biggest and the greatest.
So we come to the film eXistenZ, a film written and directed by David Corenberg. Supposedly this movie was to be signed by big time movie producer MGM. However after being reviewed by MGM they decided not to sign a contract for the movie. This does not come as a surprise to me because it does not appear to look like a movie that MGM would sign for many reasons, which I am going to begin to talk about. Starting with the things that I did not like about the movie. The movie started with the opening scene of a new game system that is to be tested on some gaming fans. So the whole movie is about a testing of this new game system, right off the bat not being an attractive story line. But as the movie goes on and the audience is anxious to see what this new game is about, they get “jacked” in to the system and start their demo. To be honest it was difficult to tell when the game started. The switching of scenes was not smooth at all and often during the movie I found myself confused weather or not the scene changed or stayed the same. For example the part where the 12 volunteers were “jacking” into the game, I would have never thought that when the guy yelled death to Allergra Geller and shot her with that weird gun that they were already in the game.
The Essay on Can Video Games Make Kids More Violent
Can video games make kids more violent? A new study employing state-of-the-art brain-scanning technology says that the answer may be yes. Researchers at the Indiana University School of Medicine say that brain scans of kids who played a violent video game showed an increase in emotional arousal – and a corresponding decrease of activity in brain areas involved in self-control, inhibition and ...
It seemed that they were still “jacking in”. From that time in the movie to the time when they arrived to the ski house and “jacked in” there I thought that they were still in reality and not in the game. Only after watching the movie a second time did I catch that. The next thing that caught my attention was the fact that the game it self had no point to it or a purpose. When we play video games today there is always some kind of goal or mission you must complete, but there was none of that sort in this game. The whole movie I was waiting for there to be some kind of plot. And there never was, which made me unsatisfied with the film. Another point that caught my attention was the idea of being in a game inside a game. If it is true that when the guy shot Allegra Geller in that shoulder was the entry point in the game then what about the entry point in the ski house? Weren’t they already in the game before, and now they are plugging in again? That would make them inside a game that is already being played. And yet again after about five minutes since the second time they “jacked” into eXistenZ they buy micro pods from a game vender and “jack” into that system; so now they are in a game inside a game inside a game inside a game. It’s like the artist formerly known as the artist formerly known as prince. This makes the movie way to complicated for your average person to follow. Along with the poor acting form the leading roles and below average screenplay this movie does not look too attractive. Not to mention the lack of special effects.
The Essay on Response to the Movie The Inside Job
I think the inside job done a great job on the movie. They proved the more money one has the least amount of trouble they will get into. They should receive the same punishment as a low class citizen would get. There are pros and cons about bank giving loans to people who have no or bad credit. If they can afford the payment than yes. If someone cannot make the monthly payment then no. Banks ...
Not every thing in the movie was so bad; I did like the idea of a game system that would be so real that you could not tell the difference between it and reality. As we can see from the ever evolving game systems today, the goal of each is to become more and more realistic, wither it be with better graphics or better game play the point is to be more realistic. And eXistanZ is the dream system of today’s system makers. Not only did I like the idea of the system but also how it is plugged into your body, it’s actually believable. Since your brain is the center of all neurological interpretation your spine would be a good place to “jack into”, since it is connected to the brain.
The Matrix, which is very similar to eXistanZ in its idea, was signed with Hollywood and became a blockbuster hit. And the reason for its success was do to that fact that its story line was like a fragment of real life scenario. Its’ main idea was that the human race is inside a computer program that simulates reality. They are put inside a gelatin pod and connected to the matrix via plugs that are connected directly to the body. Since birth they are kept there inside the system to fool the actual human body, and making the mind believe that they are in reality. This is all done to make humans into a battery for the robotic race, which in this movie is superior. This story line is a bit more interesting than just testing a new game system, which was the story line in eXistenZ. The main problem with The Matrix is that there is no game system. There is just a direct plug in to the human brain. When inside the Matrix there are rules that guide the pace at which you walk, gravity, and such things. But there is no set fate for any one, so you can do whatever you like. In eXistenZ you are limited to what your character’s role in the game is. In The Matrix the movie had unreal special effects that dazzled the audience and very well played roles. The Matrix kept me at the edge of my seat through out the entire movie; this was not the case in eXistenZ. Overall the Matrix was just a more attractive film than eXistenZ, and that’s why the Matrix was a Hollywood hit. Not to mention the fact that it made over 100 million in sales of video and tickets. You also have to understand that movies like eXistanZ attract a special audience, not one that necessarily enjoys action or special effects, but one that loves David Corenberg productions. And if it were to be rated not as a film but as a mere work of art then I give it 3 thumbs up. But a film is more than just art; it is a whole new level of visualizing a theatrical experience.
The Essay on Horror Movies People Movie Films
"Natural Born Killers," Psycho," Friday the 13 th," and "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" are all horror films. In these films there is always some crazy person or monster-like character that goes around and slaughters innocent people. And usually, but not all the time the killer is killed at the end of the movie. The media publishes or broadcasts stories that say that horror films influence people to ...
If you think about the possibilities of the Matrix then we can say that it could be used as an escape from reality. Just like shooting up Heroin or taking LSD, This can become addictive like a drug. But then again if you think further, it is a drug, because it alters your state of consciousness to a new level just like Heroin or LSD. If the Matrix was real or the game systems of eXistenZ were real there would be many dangers involved, some which would be unimaginable. And what if you found yourself happier in the system than in actual real life would it matter if you stayed in it, would you have to go back. Better yet would you want to go back? Probably not, if a Heroin user had an endless supply of Heroin would he ever stop getting high. Only until he overdoses, but in the system you would not be able to overdose, so why would you want to stop? Now I find myself asking the question what is reality? Is it a bunch of neurological impulses? If so then they should be able to be replicated. If a surgeon can open up your brain and stimulate a nerve with a special machine so that you jerk your knee or raise your arm now at the present day and age, then what do you think will be the possibilities tomorrow?
