Germination is the growing of the seed into a plant.

1) Stage 1 – The Seed A bean seed will soon grow and become into a bean plant.
2) Stage 2 – The Root Emerges The first root (the radicle) pokes through the seed coat and grows downward. 3) Stage 3 – The Stem Emerges The root grows, and the part near the seed pokes through the soil (it will be the stem).
4) Stage 4 – First Leaf Emerges The first true leaves emerge from between the cotyledons. 5) Stage 5 – The Plant The stem straightens out and the shoot sprouts leaves

d) Seeds – We eat many seed of plants such as peas, beans, corn and rice.
