Awake to freedom, long year ago we have made a tryst with the destiny and now the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge not wholly or not in a full measure but very substantially. At the stroke of this midnight our when the world sleeps, india will awake to the life and freedom . A moment comes which comes but very rarely in history when we step out from the old to the new, then an age ends and the soul of the nation which is long suppressed finds utterance .
it is fitting that at this solemn moment we are taking the pledge of full dedication to the country and its people and far more better cause of humanity. And these words of our first honorable prime minister pt. jawahar lal Nehru on the very first night of India’s independence revolutionized every heart of India to begin with the fresh start . Their dedication and the most important belief, brought India on the verge of developed nation.
Gone are the days when India was seen as a country of snake charmers, rope tricks and pompous maharajas; it is now being seen as a country producing entrepreneurs, efficient doctors and IIT-ians. Our country has made tremendous progress after independence and we have very optimistic picture of it. If we compare the progress of last decades with the country that India was at the close of the 20th century, we would wonder at the difference.
