Julius Caesar the Hero Caesar’s way to tops of authority was long. Despite of failures, he persistently went towards his aim – to become the First in Rome. And, at last, the ancient city after 30 years of heavy political war has recognized the authority of the 50-years commander. The new page in a history of Rome began. Any of the next Roman emperors can not be compared to bright and surprising person Julius Caesar which with surprising levity made recklessnesses, but with incomprehensible hardness went to tops of authority. Caesar is much more humane, than all governors of late Rome.
It was capable of love and sincere mercy. Instead of a haughty stone sculpture and the embodied code of laws, Julius Caesar appears before us as a writer and a talented diplomat, an ingenious commander and an omnipotent dictator of Rome who managed to make so little and so much to leave his name in centuries. In 78 B.C. the dictator died. And Caesar went to Rome – to make political career. His impatience was so great, that he gets down to work at once. Caesar aspires to draw the attention of Rome by literally self-destructive act in court.
Ancient Roman Empire Rome had a war god in its lineage and wolf milk in its belly, implying that its citizens had a knack for warfare-which they would prove again and again. Early in Rome's history, the city was conquered by the Etruscans, the most notable civilization in Italy before Rome's rise to power. The Etruscans, who would influence Roman civilization, had migrated to Italy from Asia Minor ...
Certainly, Caesar lost all cases, however his speeches in court created for him a glory of one of the best Rome orators. Now, having some popularity, it was possible to start a slow ascension to political Olympus. However we should not think that it was easy. Even for a small post in magistracies it was necessary to conduct severe struggle at elections. In 68 B.C. Caesar became a quaestor the duties of which included the control above the state treasury and the finance, and it gave him a right to be called a senator.
After consulate Caesar, as well as it was necessary for proconsul, received a province in management. But due to influence of a triumvirate – not for one year as it was necessary under the law, but for five years with the right to declare and wage war without the consent of the senate. Caesar had four legions, Gallia was his province. By his diplomacy and military art Caesar gradually begins to conquer remaining Gallic tribes. By 56 B.C. territories between the Alpes, Rhein and Pyrenees by Caesar’s diligence were completely joined to Rome. This victory was easy for Caesar.
Debacle of Pompey at Pharsalus, his disgraceful death, inclined at last the obstinate senate to Caesar. Senators have proclaimed him a termless dictator and gave him rights to dispose of destiny of the Roman citizens without restrictions. The senate even granted to Caesar the right for the future triumph in the future war against Numidia. It is impossible to find another hero in history who would make so much in the different areas. 56 years-old Caesar died, not having taken the advantage of power and authority to that he aspired for all life and that he achieved with so great difficulty. However, conspirators didnt achieve their goal: the authority of the senate was not restored. Anyone a little involved in murder of Caesar could not escape.
Caesar was one of the most significant figures in a history of Rome. He created a strong Roman Empire which existed for five more centuries.
