Critique All of this hard work eventually pays off when you get the results: self-satisfaction and more importantly group satisfaction. 1. Impress- If someone belongs to N.J.R.O.T.C. and they like it and want other people to join, then they are going to say good things about it to the person that has said they are interested in joining. But, that is not all that should be happening. To explain it further, it needs an example: If you complain all the time that you were having a bad day in N.J.R.O.T.C.
and once a week you said Oh, I hate N.J.R.O.T.C. its so annoying! then the potential members are going to be turned off from the program. So in order to impress someone always say good things and complain in private or that complaint might turn someone off that would have helped the unit greatly. Impress people to get them to join the unit, never drop your guard. 2. Educate- a person cannot do a job correctly without the knowledge to do so.
Superiors are expected to educate their subordinates at least to some level. A leader cannot accomplish much without educated subordinates to follow. Example: In order for a unit to run smoothly and move forward, it needs knowledgeable cadets in the fields of leadership to guide and teach the younger cadets. Without knowledgeable cadets then the unit would fail because of ignorance. You must know what you are willing to lead others into, in order for others to follow. 3.

Motivate- a person needs encouragement sometimes to do the best all the time. To accomplish anything in a group they need the sheer motivation to keep everyone in the group together and to keep going strong. Without motivation nothing would ever get done in time. Sometimes things can get tiring and even the best need a little motivation. Motivation is the ability to keep going even through the tough times. In order for things to get done when it needs to be accomplished you need motivation. 4. Dedicate- a person needs to make sure that they are able to dedicate themselves completely before taking on more goals.
A person must be willing to give them self to the mission. 5. Execute- is when everything the cadet has worked toward or practiced for comes together and the cadet gets to show it off and test it. 6. Critique- after a person tests the things they have accomplished and they like the results, then it is time to hone down the skills into perfection. Then once the cadet is happy with the results then you have finally reached your leadership goal.
Once the steps have been completed, then the main objective of leadership has been met: Group satisfaction and self- satisfaction. Group satisfaction comes when the group accomplishes something and they as a whole are happy with it or satisfied. Self-satisfaction comes when you as the cadets leader feel that you have led this group with no regrets and have accomplished something useful..
