The same conflict came up again but this time it was between Scout and Francis, her cousin, about her dad, Atticus, being a nigger-lover, this conflict started on page 83-86. A part of this is below (page 86): “What did Francis call him[Atticus]?’ . “A nigger-lover… .’ One other conflict was with an old lady, Mrs. Dubose, this conflict was started by Mrs. Dubose, she had started this problem because she was being snappy at Scout for no reason, Scout hated her, this hate is shown on page 99.
It is stated below: “Jem and I hated her[Mrs. Dubose].’ So after Scout had found out Mrs. Dubose s reason for be snappy all the time, the reason was she was sick and on the drug Morphine. Scout is an extremely courageous character too. The amazing and courageous part is that she has never turned down a fight in her life but now she does because Atticus had said for her not to listen and most importantly of all not to fight back.

If you recall on the paragraph above, the scene when Scout is fighting her cousin, Francis, for Atticus. Also on the paragraph above it said Scout didn t fight Cecil and took the blow, I mean being called names, for her dad Atticus out of love, this shows her emotions for her dad. One other example is when Arthur Radley, known well as Boo, finally comes out of his house when he sees Bob Ewell walking up to Scout and her brother, Jem, and Bob Ewell tries to kill them but Boo Radley saves the children by killing Bob Ewell. During all this commotion in the dark, it s night time, Jem fractures his arm badly, so Boo, supposedly shy and sensitive, carries Jem back to their own house. After the doctor and the sheriff leave the house, Boo asks Scout to take him home, which she does, then for the second time Scout stands on the Radley porch and for once is in Boo Radley s shoes and now knows why he doesn t come out, he doesn t want to, she shows emotion here too, understanding and friendship. This incident is on pages 260-279.
