Renaissance and Reformation Comprehensive Question In over three decades the American Culture had combined a various range of cultures and social directions. Therefore the social structure of United States is unique and presents the combination of social behaviors that were formed on the different stages of the World History. In the same way Western Europe was the place were the cultural developments and social structures took their roots from different historical periods of the World History. For example, Ancient Egypt had a very strong influence on ancient Greek and Roman art, as well as on its coinage. There are many who would tell you that Greek art developed separately from the Egyptians, but that is not the case. There were trade relations between Egypt and Greece as well as Phoenicians acting as intermediaries earlier and before the first Kouros (earliest life-size Greek marble sculptures of young men; female: Kouri) were produced. Plato is generally regarded as the inventor of the philosophical argument as we know it, and many would claim that the depth and range of his thoughts have never been exceed. In his works, especially the last and longest dialogue, the Laws, Plato brings attention to the character of the ideal republic in a sober manner, with civic piety and religion taking that later were supported by works of modern philosopher and are the basic guidelines for many philosophical views. Nevertheless one of the vivid examples of social structure that is in some way similar to the structure of the modern society is Roman Empire. The economy, military and cultural aspects of Roman society were very florid and were very efficient organized. It introduced to the World: theater, the fundamental economical conceptions of supply and demand, technological constructions of the first roads, etc. All these aspects had developed through many centuries and formed the social and cultural tools that are still present in our society.
Perhaps the educational and medical structure within Europe had been urbanized during Middle Ages. It happened because of the help of Catholic Church. For example, bishops, who were often wealthy and came from noble families, ruled over groups of parishes called “diocese.” The village priest tended to the sick and indigent and, if he was able, taught Latin and the Bible to the youth of the village. One of the major developments of Western Culture came through the time of Renaissance and Reformations. They developed and constructed the structure of art and religion that later had been called the time of talents and spiritual growth. Advancement from the Medieval into the Renaissance era occurred primarily affecting art, literature, sciences, and the revolution of the church. One of the most prominent changes in the aspects of society was the way in which art was now depicted. It had introduced to the world Michelangelo, Machiavelli Leonardo da Vinci, Donatello, Luther ,etc., one the greatest artists, philosophers and religious leaders whom basically the foundation of the art, philosophy and religion of modern society. Therefore, if we would take look on the whole history of civilization we can conclude that our modern world is formed from the fundamentals of art, science, technology and others aspects of our social life that take their roots to the past. Our present society and its culture came through long development period and had been shaped to our present perspectives and expectations. Bibliography.
