Part B covers the medical side of everything including doctors’ visits, medical equipment, and things of that nature. However, the patient does have to pay a premium each month with this type of insurance. Part C covers both Part A and B insurance. It does come with other benefits but most of the time people have to pay extra for those services. Part D covers prescription drugs. It helps a great deal with the cost of prescription drugs because they can really be costly for people. The fund to keep Medicare going is coming out of taxpayers’ checks every time they get paid.

Public Health- public health means that you give service to the public. Nurses give out vaccines, checkups, and more.
They also educate the community on how important it is to get treated for diseases, stay up to date on vaccinations, and give important information on how to stay healthy on what type of healthy foods you should eat. Places of this nature would be the clinic or the local health department. They are really a great asset to the community because they provide a great deal of services to the community and they help everyone stay up to date. A lot of people in the community utilize the resources that they have with the public health offices because they provide other opportunities other than just public health.
Most of the public health (clinics) that I have seen in my area is often to WIC departments as well. WIC stands for Women, Infants, and Children. It provides the person with nutritional information and it also provides the families with nutritional food. They give them dairy, bread, cereal, vegetables, and fruits in the form of a voucher that they have to spend in grocery stores each month. So public has a lot to offer to the community and it is a way give back to the community as well.

Ambulatory Care- ambulatory care means that basically that the patient can receive services in an office setting with them coming in on their own without any assistance. Places like these would be the doctor’s office or the clinic. It doesn’t require any emergency care most of the time. They mainly take patients that are there to have a checkup, vaccines, or just a follow up from a recent hospital visit that required them to do so. Outpatient care can be referred to as a form of ambulatory care because they do not stay overnight in a hospital for this type of care.
These settings often are in and out as I call it. You go in and get your services and you come back out the same day. Ambulatory care physicians provide over 88 percent of services to patients. Since they do give the most care besides the acute care facilities (hospitals for example) it would make sense that they give the most cars for patients because they give out prescriptions, diagnoses and treatment and so much more.
