The Business Proposal of the General Agency of Korean Morning Glory in Mainland China Preface: At first, we want to let you know that our proposal isn’t based on a new corporation. It was finished on selling products from an overseas company called Morning Glory, which is a very famous company, specialized in stationary, in South Korea. You may not know about the company, but if I mention the Blue Bear, the primary character of Morning Glory, I am sure there must come up some ideas on your mind.
One of our group members likes the Blue Bear very much, and she wants to operate a franchised store of Morning Glory. So we decided to help her start working on her ambition by dint of working out the report. Thus we got an assumption of being the Chinese General Agency of Korean Morning Glory. As it is known to all, being an agency, we have a total different business mission and strategies analysis from other ownerships, and here they are. Business Mission 1. For Morning Glory: Providing our customers with quality service and reliable goods is our basic philosophy.
Morning Glory refers to the glory of morning – an essence we hope to capture in each product. Our goal is to become a worldwide brand known for these qualities. 2. For our agent: Protecting the copyright of Morning Glory (named “MG” as follow) in China and inherit their mission to provide customers with quality service and reliable goods. Strategies Analysis S. W. O. T. Analysis Organization Strengths (S) 1. Advantaged Site: We choose one of the biggest markets in Mainland China —- Shanghai, as the General Agency of Korean Morning Glory. 2.
The Business plan on Business Analysis Assessment Assignment 2
Business Analysis & Assessment Assignment 2. Company names (and registered addresses) and industrial classification (product tree). International business Machines (NYSE: IBM) The company has global presence and is Headquartered: I should start by saying that according to the corporate website http://www.ibm.com, International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), was incorporated in June 1911, ...
Advantaged Economic Environment: Though the economy in America has been in troubles, Chinese Government has a good macro-economic control to protect our domestic industry. So, the economy in China is still getting stronger, and still need to be expanded. 3. Advantaged Brand and Reputation: We conduct an internet survey to acknowledge how many people realize their famous character —– “Blue Bear”, which is designed by MG, in 1994. The results show us that there are 97% of people know about it. 4. Powerful Buyers: In Korea, teenagers are the largest consumer group of MG.
However, in China, we can sell products not only to the teenagers, but also to the higher age groups, such as university students (according to the research), and the office ladies even the housewives. 5. Proprietary Technology: The Head Office in Korea has a unique and professional group of designers to design new products which are used in your daily life with our characters’ logo. It’s not strange that you can find our cute characters’ logo on stuff in many stores. 6. Excellent Quality of Products: As being the general agency of MG, all of our products are directly imported from South Korea. . A Wide Range of Products:
There are not only the stationeries that MG makes, but also daily use products. Such as bed sheets, quilt cover, pillowslip, etc. So, that means we can widen our marketing not limited in one industry. 8. Group Members’ Passion: Our employees must be full of passion and loyalty with our company. So we can make concerted efforts together to expand marketing and make profit. Organization Weakness (W) 1. Many competitors: Two famous companies in the whole world —- “Walt Disney” & “Warner”.
The Essay on Chinese Products Flooding The Indian Market
India & China are two emerging economies is the world market, they have made a huge impact in trade within and outside ones own country. But China has reached the masses in India with their cheap imports, Direct and indirect, the direct one pertains to the goods coming through proper channels and in a legal way and finding its way into the Indian shops. As Indian market is price-oriented, ...
They both have their franchised stores in Shanghai and are more famous than MG in Shanghai, even China. We are facing a huge challenge. 2. High cost: Just because all of our products are imported from South Korea, compared with other companies which have factories in the local place, we will set a higher price on our products. Environment Opportunities (O) 1. Having potential buyer markets: As we all know, Shanghai is a modern city. Most of boys and girls here are dressed fashionably on the streets.
So we can regard them as our potential buyers in Chinese Markets. . Brand development: Again, MG is a well-known brand in his country, but it still needs to expand its overseas markets to let “Morning Glory” be a worldwide brand. 3. Too many retailers in Shanghai: There are too many stationery retailers in Shanghai. In our view, they are not professional enough. As an example, Mitsubishi, the Japanese well-known pen company, doesn’t have a franchised store in Shanghai. They sell their pens only by the retailers. So, it’s the advantage for us to sell our products in a legal and professional way. Environment Threats (T)
Strong competitors: If a new brand comes into a new market, it should have a process to suit the market, because it has been many competitors there. Just like Disney, Warner, Mitsubishi or their local brand like M&G. Cause MG is not only selling the stationeries with their fancy characters but also selling the daily use products with their characters’ logo. So, their competitors will from many different industries.
Cause we are the only franchised agency of MG in China, we will try our best to protect our rights and brand reputation. 2. “S” for the “social culture”. Since the Korean TV series swept through Asia, the TV fans age range from the youngs to the olders are interested in the Korean cultural, especially for their foods, their clothes and their dressing style. And we, offer a way to those who want to know more about the Korean culture by our products. Our franchised stores will become the best place for them to experience the Korean culture.
This not only helps them to learn Korean culture but also save their time and money on travelling to Korea. Conclusion: First, about our marketing research, is done in two ways. One is uploading our questionnaire on internet, and another one is visiting the ex-general agent of MG in Shantou, China. We talked to the duty manager of the ex-general agency of MG, who gets hold of the first information between Korean and Chinese distributors. Secondly, after our marketing research, we find that the Shantou Agency of MG stopped co-operate with MG 2 years ago.
The Term Paper on Branding Of Commodities Commodity Market
BRANDING OF COMMODITIES: HIDDEN ISSUES AND PERSPECTIVES " A brand is not an icon, a slogan, or a mission statement. It is a promise-a promise your company can keep... This is the promise you make and keep in every marketing activity, every action, every corporate decision, every customer interaction." Kristin Zhivago, " Business Marketing" SHIVA NI GUPTA EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The inimitable nature of ...
Yes, it’s the time for us to get the general agency of MG in China. But, to our disappointment, the reason why they stopped co-operate with MG was the bad manage system of Shantou Agency. Due to our report, it’s clearly that the Shantou Agency doesn’t match the demands of MG. Most of its points of sale in China don’t operate legally (they may not register as a store).
It’s the main problem that we will face in China. We will be strict with our branch stores or points of sale to match the demand which MG has been set on the contract.
Finally, being a loyalty fan of Morning Glory for 8 years, our excellent group will work hard to operate an agency and run the business in China well, because each of our group members has good selling skills with strongly passion and confidence, to develop the MG brand and its reputation. Last but not least, Shanghai really does a large, unexplored market which is waiting for our expanding.
