The actions of man has been to go against what is perceived as impossible. To defy the odds and go against the grain. Jesse Owens and Muhammad Ali, prove the position at hand. In Jesse Owens case, you could say that he was in the right place at the right time.
However, he was an American. An African-American. An African-American who was going against, the Master Race of Adolf Hitler. Not to mention the hostile crowd that packed the Coliseum of Berlin in the 1936 Olympics. Owens went on to win 4 gold medals, in the 100 meters, 200 meters, the long jump, and the 4×100 relay. Owens, it meant that much more. You would expect a boxer who is brash, cocky, and who had a swagger one could only dream, to be hated by everyone.
