This engine outperforms the Chevy Silverado on power, however it cannot run on E85 ethanol without upgrading the performance package without increasing the overall value of the truck. The fuel mileage for the F-150 is approximately 14 miles per gallon in the city and 19 miles per gallon on the highway. Without the upgraded engine specifically created for better fuel mileage, the F-150’s stock engine is relatively average and lacks the fuel efficiency other manufactures have. The F-150 offers a maximum payload of 1710 lbs. This is the highest payload of any full-sized stock pickup truck on the market.
Overall the two models are very similar as stock models.
