Why sex still being a taboo in our society?
A taboo is a moral or cautionary restriction placed upon certain actions; which if ignored will result in a specific negative consequence. It is something that is not generally talked about, a topic that makes people uncomfortable like sex, death or cancer. A taboo is normally viewed forbidden by society, and is rarely talked about openly. All of them will bring a conversation to a dead stop if someone bring them up because these are all things most do not want to talk about it.
Our lives are conducted by the rules of our society established through years and generations. Such rules determine what is acceptable and what is not to everyone. Through unwritten, these are well known by everyone. Society is not very explicit about what is considers inappropriate, but everyone has to know it. Society can consider that rules are like the laws of life. If anyone broke one of those laws of society, that person will become an immoral, an embarrassment or just someone who do not have respect and will be contemptuous by the rest of the society. Society has as base the moral values, but more important, the religion. Those two things have an important position, however, are important determinations. Because of all the restrictions that society has, it has created some taboos.
There are many forbidden topics in society, but one, as the past of the years, still being a taboo, even some said that it is not anymore, is sex. This is a topic that still can not be talked openly without someone get surprised, or feel a kind of embarrassment about the topic. So many things have evolved about sex, but it still being a taboo in our society.

Some said that sex topic is not forbidden anymore but there exists many questions that if you can answer you can conclude that like members of a society we still have a certain respect to the topic, in other words, we do not dare to talk about it. Some of those particular questions are given in the article Sex and Society, “Did not nature itself demonstrate everywhere that sex was inherently base and humiliating? Did not parents hide the intimate side of their marriage from their children, and did this not prove that there was something wrong with sexual intercourse?”
In most societies, of course, the meaning of sex, as the meaning of anything else, is revealed by religion. At least this has always been the case in societies of the past, and even in modern, secular societies the sexual standards often remain tied to older religious doctrines. Among religious believers in the developed world, there is something of a hierarchy in terms of social tolerability.
The moral values differed in different countries. Some things that wrong here maybe it will be not wrong in another place. In many Middle Eastern countries, in the name of Allah, inhibit and repress sexual behavior to the point that women must wear veils over their faces, and can be executed for so called sex crimes that actually only refer to the freedom to decide for oneself when and with whom to engage in sexual activity. In Tahiti, people were applauded as valuable members of the community, who are here considered criminal or insane. What Americans now abhor as the moral “corruption of minors”, the Tahitians encouraged as practical sex education. What appears sinful to us often had a religious purpose for them. The ancient Israelites saw the nature of sex in €reproduction and condemned any sexual behavior that did not promote this goal. The early Christians adopted this narrow view and even restricted it further by treating sex as a necessary evil and extolling the virtues of sexual abstinence. However in some countries society culture is alike.

This has become something rarely natural in society, but there are some things that the media still not approve. The sexual material is approved when is erotica or pornography, but the sex talk is forbidden. This is the case of Valerie Belew, a hubpage writer: “None of my writing would be classified as pornography, or even erotica, but google ads have been pulled from the hub due to “inappropriate” content.”
Persuading society about a taboo is almost impossible in these days. Well, as a human universal, it’s hard to change society minds. Society have developed a set of social norms where individuals have an expectation of being entitled to their own distinct factual beliefs about the universe but not completely, because some taboos still exist in our society as it is still the subject of sex.
