However, not all students have a full understanding of the challenges that it takes to meet this goal. Many often ask themselves, “What does it take to become an effective student?” There are many answers to that question, but the problem is that most students do not understand how important time management and proper study skills are to a college career. Taking an organizer and writing down all important dates will help in planning ahead and planning your workload. By planning ahead assignments will not creep up on you. The unexpected often happens in life so it is best to make a schedule that has room for flexibility in it. One of the keys to time management is: make a plan for school work then work the plan. Showing up to class and showing up on time is essential to any students’ college career. Understanding how to manage time between classes, as well as, life with friends, family and work will give them more time to enjoy student life. With so much work to be done in school it is important that time management is used so that they do not fall behind or do not have enough time to properly study for your exams. With proper study skills students not only can make the grades that they would like to but they will have more of an understanding of the subject. There are many students who enter the doors to schools all across the world each and every year; however, not all of them will become an effective student.
