Stress has become a common situation in our modern society. Nowadays, 24 hours does not seem to be enough hours in a day for our busy lives. As a result of this increase in stimulation and activity, many people are suffering physically and psychologically from stress. I will describe three common cause of stress in our careers, relationships. First of all, work and study play an important part in our life, but they are also the main reasons for stress. Today’s competitive business environments mean more pressure at work. They have to choose between being unemployed or standing high pressure. Unfortunately, both result in negative feeling, which we often call “stress”. Moreover, not many people have a good time-management skill, so they must deal with the difficulty of balancing work, study and relaxation. For example, you have to learn many skills at once and the teacher teaches a lot of individual skill exercises as reading, writing, listening, and grammar. It’s difficult to arrange your schedule to do all homework and have time to relax. Next, things that stress people are the difference in language when you live in a foreign country.
It is barriers make it hard to express what you want to say and fully understanding what others say. Sometimes you may be misunderstanding the words of others. It also makes it difficult for you to make new friends and eventually isolated. The truth is that failure in relationships is also a cause of stress. For example, if you talk to a friend from another country, you may argue, even fight if you misunderstood friends. Finally, financial problems also cause you stress. Commodity prices increasingly expensive while wages is limited. That makes it difficult to adjust expenditures in the family and could lead to shortages spending. For instance, you have to pay a lot of money for education, daily activities, accommodation and transportation while you are unable to work part-time to cover costs. In summary, there are many causes of stress beside career, study, communicate, social relations and financial. However, they are unavoidable parts of our life, so the only think we can do is to accept that existing situation and find efficient ways to reduce stress.
