We live in a technological time. It’s time of replacing many things by machines, especially different jobs, such as physical work and some kinds of headwork, in particular teaching profession. So, I would like to speak about the mechanical teacher and to prove all possible advantages and disadvantages of it. The most important advantage of mechanical teacher, in my point of view, is that pupil doesn’t waste his or her time for going to school every day and can spend more time studying. However, there is also disadvantage. Firstly, it’s not healthy to stay at home and to sit in front of the computer all day long. And secondly, there are social problems. If you stay at home and study, you won’t meet friends and new pupils. Another advantage is that you have to pay for the mechanical teacher one time, and salary for man must be paid constantly. But you shouldn’t forget that the mechanical teacher can get out of order and you must pay for someone repairs it. In addition to all I can say that each mechanical teacher is an expert in one subject, so he teaches the subject in the best way and he can’t make mistakes. But he can’t explain something in other way, how teacher could do it.
Last but not least is the thing that mechanical teacher doesn’t have emotions, and so that so he can’t prefer one student to another. But on the other hand, the mechanical teacher can’t understand a pupil, he gives the material, the test and homework for a pupil, but it doesn’t give a human touch like a real teacher can do. All in all we can see that for each advantage of been teaching by the mechanical teacher, there are some disadvantages. And each person has it’s own opinion about the mechanical teacher. I think that the best way of learning is the same way as we learn today, with a teacher and in schools because each person, especially pupils, needs a social life and want be understood and supported by teacher.
