1. Reflection
Observing children language can be very interesting, as what could be more exciting than hearing a child imitating and behaving very similar to the people around him. According to Lev Vvgotsky “Language is the man’s greatest tools”. He believed that language is critical instrument in cognitive development for two reasons: firstly, it is the primary tool adults us to communicate information to kids; Secondly, language is a key in intellectual adaptation (McLeod, 2007) . From couple of weeks, I observed my younger brother and recorded his conversation with several people because I want to pay more attention to his language, and the way he expresses himself. After getting all information this Reflection and observation task shown me the different ways in the child develops their language skills and how they begin to associate various sound to objects.
By working on this task I observed many interesting things and this task taught me the different ways in which a kid uses their language to make connections between an object and what they’re used for and how kids struggle to pronounce different letters sometimes. As I discussed first that the language is the man’s greatest tools its mean that the language has the highly importance in the life of any human. The process of developing the language starts from the birth of the child. The child observed what is going on around him. What they listen they will speak. In the growing stage the parents tried that the child called them by ‘MAMA’ or ‘DADDY’. For this the child first word always mama or daddy. The child listen this word a lot of time and what they listen they will speak.

By research on the language development in children I observed that the every child has his own will to understand the language and speak it. Sometimes several kids take time to develop the language. Some children tend to develop the language acquisition faster than the other children, which it appears regardless of the child’s culture or native language (Crosser, 2009) Children’s development of language and social skills is affected by the nature of their family and early educational experience. In the growing stage the children become socialized through interaction with parents, siblings, relatives, and neighbors. According to Seefeldt (2010) a typical five-year-old child tends to find joy in talking and sharing their thoughts.
In addition, they acquire a basic understanding of the various rules of holding a conversation such as waiting for others to finish speaking or hearing other people out while they’re speaking without interrupting or cutting them off. By my observation of my younger brother and also observed some other kids the interesting fact develop that every child has his own language development skills which develop by the nature of his family and the environment he is living. As language is a verbal behavior each child has his own way of learning through reinforcement, analogy, structured input and imitation. In the receptive language a child of 2-3 years they learn to listen and understand language. So they start naming things, and are able to call siblings by their names, I noticed many things which I never even imaging in the phase of language development in children.
Children tend to imamate our words and say them exactly in the same pronunciation as we do. Right communication at that level is essential as children lean on average 20 new words a day. I was astonished by how quickly they got words that they heard for the first time and use it later. The language development in children really affected by the nature, culture and the environment. The environment of the living place is so much affects the child in growing phase. The children who lived in an environment where they have no attention by their parents and seeing mishandling they observed these situations so badly. The development of language in children starts from the first day they born and from that they start developing language to conversation with others. Below is the chart of the language development in the children as they growing. (institue, 2009)
The Term Paper on Early Language and Development
Language is a complex and abstract endeavor, wonderfully creative at the same time governed by a multitude of rules. Before the age of 1 year, babies communicate with intent, primarily through the use of body orientation, facial expressions, gestures, and nonsymbolic vocalizations that mimic the intonations of their native language. At the end of the first year, however, many babies are beginning ...
For the past couple of weeks, I have observed my younger brother. He’s a 5 years old. His name is Mueez. I and my family can speak several languages but we speak in Arabic in our home. But in our environment and social circle we have many people speaks different languages. I observed my younger brother Mueez that he speaks word not only in one language sometimes he uses two language words. 2. Situation #1
At home having dinner with the family. He always knows when to come to dinner without being told because the sound of the plates and cutleries would always be a sign that it was dinner time/ lunch time. Mueez uses both English and Arabic word in the same sentence. When she was asked what she wanted for the dinner she replied, “I want macaroona, only one one i want, maba soup”. According to Piaget’s this is a form of bilingualism, he talked about in his language development theory. Bilingual means you speak in more than one language. In a very small age children learn languages that their parents use that are why Mueez was able to use English and Arabic. Sometimes he need more rice in his plate he would say “wice” without being able to pronounce the letter R properly. He would always push the plate away whenever he was done with his food and say “bs Khalas” indicating that he is done. 3. Situation #2
In second situation, Mueez and his Cousin Ayan in playtime consisted of throwing insults at each other in Arabic. They exchange slurs like, “donkey” or “dog” and Mueez called Ayan a “girl” According to B.F. Skinner, this is caused by a child’s imitation of an adult’s behavior or speech. In our family’s case, these slurs that my brother’s learned were reinforced with laughter, and they were not punished for using such words. (Kelly, 2008) 4. Situation #3
The Term Paper on How The Directress Assist The Child In Psychic Development
“Education is not something which the teacher does, but that it is a natural process which develops spontaneously in the human being. It is not acquired by listening to words, but in virtue of experiences in which the child acts on his environment. The teacher’s task is not to talk, but to prepare and arrange a series of motives for cultural activity in a special environment made for the child.” ( ...
In third situation Mueez is observed during a visit of visitors at home. The visitors my Aunt and their children, came over for dinner first time after the birth of Mueez. At the first Mueez was really shy because he meets with them first time. He would go tell his mother if she can tell her Aunt children to come play in his room. When they start playing they became more close and start conversation and start introducing them self. They kept talking about what their favourite games were. Mueez shared his Samsung tablet the children by asking them “T3foon hl l3ba” mean do you know this game without being able to pronounce R properly. 5. Situation #4
Mueez is watching TV with his older brother. Mueez is sitting with his brother and they both are watching a cricket match. He loves to watch TV with his elder brother. He feels elder when he sit with his elder brother. Suddenly a wicket fall and he screams with loud voice “OoouuuuuT” “OoouuuuuuT” imitating his older brother. In this age children develop their language by observing the adults around them and imitate their words too. 6. Situation #5
Mueez went to his room choose a book and then he sat down near his mother and opened the book and started telling him what the characters and different picture. “This is flower”. “This is a car”. If he got it right his mother appraises him with a good or waooww. He takes more interest and telling his mother by putting his figure on the picture, “This boy, he playing”. Once he got one wrong his mother told him “no this is a pen”. Mueez is remembering the animal’s name pronounced them almost right. Except the word Rabbit he couldn’t say it even though it is so easy one. This reflects the idea both Piaget and Vygotsky talked about regarding language development, that language is constructed by social interaction (Close, 2010).
However, Vygotsky highlights the importance of receiving guidance and instruction from adult or advanced peer (Santrock, 2012).
Once the reading time was over his mother said “I will go” He kept crying no no I will go with you”. 7. Conclusion
The Research paper on Child Development 4
Victoria was born on May 9, 2009 at 6:32pm. She is three-fourths Italian and one-fourth Puerto Rican. She is an only child and has few friends her age outside of her daycare that she plays with. Her mother and father are now both living in the same home as Victoria after recently being separated and sharing custody for almost eight months. She seems to really enjoy having both of her parents in ...
In conclusion, I haven’t really realized how important the child’s language development is until I was assigned to do this task. I learned a lot about the language development in children by observing my younger brother and by reading about the different theories and research regarding language development. In my conclusion Vygotsky’s theory and Piaget’s theory are related to the observational research that I have done. Both of the theories have explanations of different actions done by Mueez. The child only act whatever he / she learn from the environment he/she is living. For this parents have to care about the development of the children in his learning phase. Language development in children is one of the most noticeable areas especially during their first few years. Family plays the greatest roll language development, word choices, and encouragement; hence, kids in one community differ in their language skills.

The Essay on Language and Communication Development
When working in a school, especially pre-school or primary school, it is important for us to identify and provide effective support and extend the speech, language and communication development for children during the early years (Burnham and Baker, 2011). This is so that they get the best chance to develop these skills and avoid struggle later in life. There are a number of ways in which adults ...
They both started laughing.
Mueez got up and picked his slipper.
“I will hit you! Get ready…”
“NO!” shouted Ayan
Ayan started screaming and laughing at the same time. He ran towards me. “Protect me! Protect me!” he shouted.
