Good morning every one! To day, I have some interesting things to tell you. That is the best place where I want to live in. As you known, Ho Chi Minh city and Da lat city are both the well- known cities in Viet Nam. Each City has its own advantages and it is difficult to compare and contrast both the cities. Firstly, I will start by talking about economy. Secondly, I go on to show the characteristic climate. Finally, I will finish with a comparison in regards to the environment. After my speech, I hope that each people in our class will have the answer for that question: Where is the best place to live in.
First of all, I’m going to talk about economy. There are such differences of economic development between HCM and Da lat city. Some people say HCM city is larger than Da lat in economy. That is the reason they choose HCM city is the best place to live in.
Ho Chi Minh City is the largest economic center of Vietnam with GDP per capita (theo đầu người) reached 2,800 US$.
The economy of Ho Chi Minh City consists of industries ranging from mining, seafood processing, agriculture, construction, tourism, finance, industry and trade. Ho Chi Minh City aims to become an important hi-tech city in Việt Nam. Investment trends to high technology, services and real estate projects.
On the other hand, the main economic sectors in Da Lat are tourism, services and agriculture. In 2007, the tourism industry and services accounted for 70% of the total domestic product of the city. Thanks to the climate and soil appropriate, Da Lat is also grown tea and coffee. Da Lat city has total state budget revenue reached 960 billion and per capita income of about U.S. $ 890.

In Vietnam, Dalat has long been a popular tourist city. Cool climate, natural resources and human wealth to help the city each year attracts millions of tourists to visit and vacation.

However, because of topography, location of each city, there is quite a fundamental difference in climate.
Đà Lạt has nicknamed the “City of eternal spring”. The average temperature is 18°C – 25°C. The highest temperature in Đà Lạt was 27°C, and the lowest was 6.5°C. Its temperate climate also makes it ideal for agriculture. The average annual precipitation is 1,750mm.
Ho Chi Minh city has a tropical climate with an average humidity of 75%. The average rainfall is about 1,800 millimeters. The average temperature is 28 °C (82 °F), the highest temperature sometimes reaches 39 °C (102 °F) around noon in late April, while the lowest may fall below 16 °C (61 °F) in the early mornings of late December.
With above climate characterized, they say that the most of the attractions is the climate of Dalat. That is why many people say Da Lat is the paradise to relax.
Finally, let’s look at living environment. Both cities are facing environmental problems. The reason is that population growth rate is too fast, the infrastructure is not up to upgrade the overall planning, sense some people are too poor in perception and general environmental protection…

In conclusion, by comparing of economic, climate, living enviroment, as I have listed, we can see that the selection of the best places to live is relatively difficult. This depends on each person’s perspective. As a foreign visitor once said: Ho Chi Minh City is the best place to do business.
