The dignity of women is intrinsically linked with the prosperity of a country. It shows the values that the society holds dear and brings out its hidden facets. A woman is a creator. She is God’s proxy. In Hinduism there are as many goddesses as gods. There are 36 crore deities as per the Hindu mythology – to name a few, Maa Amba, Khodiyar, Boot Bhavani etc.A woman is termed as ‘Lakshmi’. Her footprints are said to be sacred and her feet laden with kumkum. India is a land where women are the most respected.Today the “Lakshmi’ is burnt alive by avaricious people. The ‘Lakshmi’ is beaten up. Female infanticide is practiced without penitence. The traditional role of a when born is to be a good daughter, learn all the household chores, help her mother with all the work, yet at the end of the day listen to all the humiliating comments by her parents, she is ill-fed, yet isn’t supposed to speak a word against it. This is all part of being a good daughter whether they give you proper food or not, whether they send you to school or not, whether they love you enough as your brother or not, you “have” to perform all the household duties as well as with the constant jabbering and beating.
Finally, a young girl is married off to a person whom they feel is appropriate and not the one she loves. Your in-laws show you some more cruelty, some more brutality as they just want your money! Whether you neither have it nor not, from your parents’ house or by any other means i.e., to say you may have to beg, borrow, or steal, but you have it get it. After all, you have show yourself as a good daughter-in-law right! Even after all this, if you fail to get the dahej, you are burnt alive. This is all part of being a good daughter-in-law and not protesting against all the injustice done to you. A woman is mainly used for sexual exploitation; she is the ‘legal harlot’ for a man. Now, you say traditional roles served their purpose better! Of course they served their purpose better, I totally agree with the statement, economic independence for women has led to confusion and devastation of ‘family life’. The mother-in law- is confused what to do with the daughter-in-law who wouldn’t tolerate any injustice, who is fighting for her freedom from the social chains. At least, the traditional ones were better, they served the purpose of being the servants of the house by doing all the household chores of cleaning, cooking, washing, etc, they also served the purpose of being a permanent, free of charge bed time entertainer right to their ‘man’ who treats them as a speck of dust, as a slave bound by chains and the whip tightly gripped between his fingers- ready to slash anytime.
The Essay on Film Women Usa Daughters
Life of chinese women in USA, competition of two mothers of their girls, other playing chess and other playing piano, broken hearts, life stories of women in China, broken fantasies, that bittersweet feeling when two people are breaking up, the inheritance from generation to generation, the founding of individuality and freedom, and beautiful encounter with sisters when they finally meet each ...
How can a modern, educated, economically independent woman beat her in this race? Economic independence has served as a silver lining, a window, and an outlet for her freedom. Being financially independent, she doesn’t chicken out from her household duties of cooking or cleaning. She looks after the child well, actually better than the traditional one as she is more aware of the importance of education. It is said that if ‘you educate a woman, you educate the whole family’, so what is wrong with that? Economic independence gives her the mouth to speak up against her in-laws against her husband, against injustice done to her. A film ‘Aamadni, Atthani, kharcha rupeyia’ is a perfect example of the ignorant, show-off, lazy, egoist man and the total Modern Bhartiya Naari’ and her sacrifices. She starts earning; this hurts the ego of the man. Educated and now employed women are shown against all the odds.A man says he is tired when he comes back from work, and for a woman, when she gets back from work, the day has just started, as she is responsible of the work she does and also of the household duties.Analyzing the whole situation of Indian women, economic independence has led to prosperity of women, they serve as role models to our lives, traditional roles are no match for the ‘wonder woman’ of the 21st century.
The Term Paper on Women Vs. Men In The Work Force
In Mrs. Burrows’ seventh grade English class, I wrote a paper entitled Women vs. Men in the Work Force. I researched for weeks and weeks to get all of the information I could on pay differences, percentages of working women and what jobs they were doing. In 1988, my paper focused on sexual discrimination and the wage difference. For example, in 1998, “women received 63% of the pay men received for ...
