Summer Vacation
Summertime fun in the sun started with the ringing of the last bell of the day. It signified that it was time to throw away old home work assignments and to forget about everything school related for the next two months. Summer vacation is a time of simple pleasures and exciting times of the year. Two months of late night sleepovers with best friends, going to the water parks and the most awaited family summer vacation. When the time for summer vacation finally came around, my family always had a camping trip planned to the . It was me, my two brothers, my cousin, her cousins, my aunt and uncle and my mom and dad. For some it was a dreadful thing but not for my close family and me.
The trip there was 3 hours, son on the way we had to make a few stops. Our first stop was at a restaurant, Ana’s Restaurant. Breakfast at Ana’s was like a traditional trip must we went there every summer on our way to the forest. We stopped there for breakfast and I loved the place because it was shaped like a big house so it felt like home, and on the front of the restaurant there was a statue of a dog but I didn’t know why, I never asked her before, it was because she had a dog named spike and he died right before she opened her restaurant, so she decided to make a statue in memory of spike. The inside of the restaurant was themed like a diner from the 60’s and it always smelled like coffee and pancakes that’s why I love the place so much. The waitresses were very nice and they didn’t mind that I took like 10 minutes to order banana caramel pancakes with bacon and orange juice. Our second stop was for bathroom brakes. We stopped at a highway stop to sue the restrooms, to feed the dog, and walk around for a few minutes before leaving again because we were behind on schedule so mom and dad decided that there weren’t going to be anymore stops after this one. I got out of the car and immediately went to the blue swings next to the big gazebo in the little park area next near the front entrance. But once I sat down and and started swinging back and forth I immediately got up and left because the top of the swings was too rusty and it was making a very horrible sound so I just left. I played with the dog in the grass while we waited for the others to be done so we could leave.
The Essay on Hotel Industry People Restaurants Time
Another essential component of the hospitality industry that must be thoroughly considered by the hotels owners are various bars and restaurants, has also undergone substantial changes recently. Lack of spare time was one of the most important factors that facilitated all the major changes in that sphere, since the increase in the rhythm of life necessitated the correspondent changes within the ...
We finally arrived at our destination. We noticed that at the entrance there were 3 other cars so we assumed there were 3 other families camping near us. We got parked registered and off to the forest we went. We settled camp at station number three which was the further est camp site, plus we had it all to ourselves. Setting up my tent was never easy, even though it was a medium size tent for me and my cousin Sabrina I could not get it right after I thought I was done the first time, it completely fell apart and dad had to come to the rescue, I remember feeling so good and accomplished even if it was for like three seconds. We were all settled in our tents it was probably past 3 pm because I remember the first day, we just sat around, smelling the earthy smell enjoying the cool weather and listening to the birds chirp, and the sound of droplets of water dripping from large leaves falling into little puddles, it was very relaxing. I went over to my favorite spot, the biggest rock along the side of the river to trow rocks at the water and watch the fish jump out of the water. After a while we all decided to take a swim in the river and I didn’t like rivers in general, but this river was very clear so I wasn’t scared. I put on my little brothers floaters since he wasn’t getting in because he was afraid of the water, and jumped from a high rope that has hanging from a tree on top a big rock. I always remember this day because it was the first day I actually decided not to be afraid of heights and jump the rope, and it was fun. After I played in the water for a while, I got out and took a shower in the bathroom/shower area of our campsite but it wasn’t a very pleasant shower because the water from the showers were freezing cold because there was no water heating system out in the forest, thats the only thing I didnt like.
The Essay on Ms Darcy vs Big Car Company
In the case of Ms. Darcy vs. Big Car Company, I agree with the judge’s decision. Ms. Darcy did prove that Clarence was in fact her supervisor; Mr. Clarence’s behavior did constitute as sexual harassment towards Ms. Darcy, and was put into a hostile work environment while around Mr. Clarence, his supervisors, and the treatment after making a complaint to HR. As a juror, I would find that Clarence ...
The light coming through the trees, a little bit foggy,, the quietness, coolness, moss growing on the trunks of the trees,, ferns, water trickling through the little creek, bird sounds.
I envisioned being inside the tent with all this space and then looking out at the big blue ocean calmly flowing, as the sunset turns into bright bursting colors of yellow and orange. Little did I know about all the bugs that would end up biting every inch of our bodies, picking at our skin like little blood sucking creatures. It was my first camping trip with my dad, his family, and my sister. We began our trip to the Florida Keys talking about all the exciting things we were planning on doing during our three-day stay. Our plan was to arrive early, set up our tent and get settled. We would then familiarize ourselves with the area and afterwords go fishing. How fun! I couldn’t wait!It all started to go wrong when we arrived at midnight, thanks to the all the traffic which was bumper to bumper, throwing our plans off completely. We were all so tired ― could not keep our heavy eyelids open ― that we just wanted to inflate our air mattresses, get comfortable, and go to sleep. We couldn’t because we all had to help get the tent opened and secured into the ground, which sounds easy but was a nightmare. The pegs would not stay in place, so the tent kept falling. On top of all that, the poles kept sticking out. It seemed like pieces were missing. We had to take down the tent and start all over again. About an hour and a half later we finally got the tent to stay. Not only was I exhausted, but by that point I felt like I was going to explode because I still hadn’t had a chance to use the bathroom. bathroom seemed as if it was miles away.
Camping with the family was fun, but packing and trying to get organized in a family of seven plus my aunt, uncle and cousin on the side was hard. Deciding what clothing to take and what not to take was the hard because we never knew if the weather was going to be nice and warm, or if it was going be cold and and foggy, so we had to be prepared for anything. Then came the kitchen stuff, trying to remember not to forget the forks or knives and to definitely bring the can opener and the dog food. I had to make sure everything was in order before leaving or I would never hear the end of it. Putting everything in the car was not fun at all. I hated it because there were bags and equipment for ten people but we had to put it in two cars. I had such a hard time organizing things in the trunk because my uncle forgot to bring the straps for the top of the car, so everything had to got in the trunk. Also because he forgot the straps we couldn’t bring along the canoes that time, but I didn’t mind, I wasn’t a big fan of the river like the others were, they were a little unhappy, but they got over it. All done, and it was finally time to head off. I never got car sick; I enjoyed sitting by the window watching the big white trucks pass by and playing games with y brothers. We would all play against each other trying to get the most truck drivers to honk their horn, it was loud and fun, nobody ever denied our request, I guess they had fun too.
